The Avalon Police Department continues to make an effort to crack down on bicycle thefts within the Borough.  They will arrest and charge individuals who take bikes that do not belong to them.  The police department reminds residents and visitors that bike thefts are crimes of opportunity and to always lock your bike, or keep it in a secured building when not in use.
